Fresh Frozen Krill Superba (Euphausia superba) is an excellent source of highly digestible protein containing all essential amino acids. Protein and lipid levels vary with the season. Dry matter protein is typically around 50 - 55%, but can reach 79%. Fat levels are usually between 18 to 25%. Of this lipid portion, up to 25% may consist of polyunsaturated fatty acids, making krill a natural source of omega-3 fatty acids. Krill is also an natural source of Vitamin A and other anti-oxidants as well as color-enhancing carotenoid, astaxanthin.
Available in convenient 16-oz. Flats, individually packaged in recloseable bags. Quantities of 10 lbs., 20 lbs. and 30 lbs. are shipped in insulated boxes with dry ice.
